Muneeb Nasir
Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Muneeb Nasir serves as a core scientific and technical pillar at Omics Nexus, combining computational expertise with engineering rigor across multiple high-impact domains of modern biology and drug discovery.
His multi-omics proficiency spans transcriptomics and metagenomics, enabling Omics Nexus to address complex genomic and clinical microbiome questions with both precision and scientific depth.
In Computational Drug Discovery, he designs and executes structure-based and ligand-based workflows, encompassing molecular docking, virtual screening, molecular dynamics simulations, and ADMET profiling, thus effectively bridging the gap between genomic target identification and early-stage drug candidate prioritization.
On the infrastructure front, he architects and maintains the in-house HPC server of Omics Nexus, overseeing system performance to support demanding computational workloads. He further develops production-grade bioinformatics pipelines using Nextflow, Snakemake, and Docker, ensuring reproducibility and scalability across all research operations.
What truly sets him apart is his ability to operate across the full research computing stack: from raw data processing and biological analysis through to the delivery of reproducible, publication-ready results, making him not just an engineer who supports science, but a computational scientist who drives it.
My expertise & skill
Muneeb architects and operates the full research computing stack at Omics Nexus, from multi-omics data analysis (transcriptomics, metagenomics) and computational drug discovery workflows (molecular docking, MD simulations, ADMET profiling) to HPC infrastructure management and production-grade pipeline development with Nextflow, Snakemake, and Docker.
